Mother’s Day
Yesterday was Mother’s Day and we hope you all had a nice day celebrating the moms in your life. We also want to send love to anyone for whom Mother’s Day is a difficult day. It has been a tough time for many of us not being able to see parents or loved ones and we hope you enjoyed the day, no matter how near or far you were from a mom in your life. Teacher Appreciation Week: Mrs. Lubinger!
Mrs. Natalie Lubinger has been teaching for 28 years and was recently nominated for Broward County Schools Gifted Teacher of the Year! I flew down to Parkland to help the parents of her students deliver a Teacher Appreciation Week greeting. Mrs. Lubinger teaches fourth grade at Riverglades Elementary School, where she is beloved by her students. In addition to being a dedicated and outstanding educator, Mrs. Lubinger is also a huge Disney fan! She credits Disney with helping to inspire her creative side. Of course, we had to add some Disney themed details to this greeting! Mrs. Lubinger has been praised for meeting the needs of her students while building trusting relationships with students and their parents. We were thrilled to help celebrate an education hero!

Grandma Linda Reunites with her Grandchildren
I’m not crying, you’re crying! I delivered a big birthday greeting for Linda’s birthday in Phoenix. Usually I deliver greetings in the front yard so the whole neighborhood can see, but this time I set up Linda’s greeting in the backyard. Linda had an outdoor birthday party in the backyard and her greeting had to be the centerpiece! After a long separation this past year, Linda reunited with her daughter and grandchildren just in time for the big day. Just look at these sweet family photos! Happy birthday, Linda!

Winter Park Baseball Senior Night
The Winter Park High School Wildcats honored their seniors last week with signs for senior night. I delivered a grand slam greeting for the occasion! Our Orlando Greeters, Evan and Susanne, have a nephew on the team! They are so proud of him and were thrilled to be in attendance on Senior Night. Congratulations, Class of 2021!

Join the Pool!
Summertime is around the corner, and in Georgia that means HEAT WAVE! My favorite way to beat the heat in the summer is to go for a nice refreshing swim. I flew down to Savannah to help Jennifer and Lisa with promoting memberships to the Isle of Hope Pool. They even let us put up real balloons! I’m not a member, but they did let me stick a toe in the water. I hope you’re all ready for summer–don’t forget to wear sunscreen!

Ariana’s Last Day of Chemo!
I delivered this bright and happy greeting for Ariana on her last day of chemotherapy! Ariana is 18 years old and so happy to celebrate this final day of treatment. She is so strong and we are all so happy she’s marking this milestone. With a last day of chemo sign, we wish Ariana good health and lots of happiness!

Celebrating a Healthcare Hero’s Birthday!
Adina’s husband spotted one of our Phoenix Greeters while she was preparing for another greeting. He just HAD to have one for his wife’s 40th birthday–and we don’t blame him! Adina is a doctor who has spent much of the year working in COVID units at her hospital. Of course, I wanted to make her birthday extra special since she has been helping to save lives and care for severely ill patients. We delivered this greeting just in time for her family to surprise her with a party to celebrate this milestone birthday. Happy 40th birthday, Adina!

Mother Daughter Dual Birthday Celebration!

Twins + a Milestone Birthday!
I was so excited to deliver this special greeting for a milestone birthday. Twin brothers William and Kevin turned 50 this week! Fifty years old is half a century! That definitely deserves a big time celebration. These twins can still hold a side plank at 50 years old, that’s impressive! I’m not sure my wings are strong enough… but that’s a story for another time. Happy Birthday, William and Kevin!

Happy Passover!
Passover is a Jewish holiday commemorating the Jewish people being freed from slavery in Egypt. On the first night there is traditionally a ritual meal called a seder, which tells the story of the holiday. Passover begins tomorrow night and we want to wish all who celebrate a very Happy Passover!

Irish Road Bowling in Savannah
As part of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Savannah, Georgia, there is an annual Irish Road Bowling tournament. The Ancient Order of Hibernians hosts this tournament each year. Our Savannah birdies asked me to help with a donated greeting for the event so of course I said yes! Despite some rough terrain, we were able to make this greeting work–and everyone loved it. I’ve got to work on my road bowling skills before next year…
