Last week, I was at Sandpiper Elementary School in Sunrise, Florida for a very special reason. Ms. LaChance is the principal of the school and beloved by students, faculty, and staff. The school administration wanted to do something really special for Ms. LaChance’s 50th birthday. They planned a drive-by celebration and invited everyone, including the mayor of Sunrise, the fire department, teachers, and of course, students. I delivered a big birthday greeting for the occasion as a surprise. It was wonderful to see how much the Sunrise community loves and appreciates their educators! Happy 50th birthday, Ms. LaChance!
